Climate Change and Pharmacy Event

29th October 2021 10am

Online

The over prescribing review and plans for a net zero NHS have recognised that medicines that may be over prescribed, creating unnecessary waste. Medicines and medical devices represent about a quarter of the NHS’s carbon footprint and the cost of production and then waste disposal if unused, adds to the climate challenge.

In Dorset we are lucky to have Pharmacist Tracy Lyons at UHD raising awareness of some of the things we can do in Pharmacy.

On 29th October, Tracy will introduce us to Martin Rayner, a Pharmacist from Kent who is cycling/training from Bournemouth to Glasgow and the UN COP 36 meeting.  He’s going to stop off along the way giving talks about climate and health at hospitals, GP practices, Community Pharmacies etc. His journey will start with the talk in Dorset.

If you are interested to hear from Martin please register for the talk via this link:
