NHS England – South West Community Pharmacy Health Promotion Programmes 

The terms of service for community pharmacies require that pharmacies participate in up to 6 health promotion campaigns in each calendar year. The programme for NHS England – South West is set out below and you are asked to participate in these campaigns.

All pharmacies will be asked to submit a return after each campaign confirming that the pharmacy has participated and noting the number of people who were given advice as part of the campaign. A template form will be sent to you at the beginning of each campaign.

The purpose of these returns is twofold:

1. To provide assurance that the pharmacy is complying with this element of essential services
2. To help demonstrate the value that community pharmacy adds in terms of the health promotion role.

Please be aware that campaigns may change subject to national priorities. Please look out for our Health Promotion emails and pass them on to the appropriate member of your team. This may be your HLP lead or check the website HERE

NHS England – South West will send you more detail on the campaigns when confirmed.  Please note you do not need to order any resources for these campaigns as they will be sent direct to you. NHS England – South West will also highlight where downloadable digital resources are available – these may better suit to Distance Selling Pharmacies.
