HEE Pre-registration Pharmacy Question Portal

HEE would like to encourage pre-registration trainees and their tutors to use this link: Health Education England Pre-registration Pharmacy Questions Portal to anonymously submit any questions and concerns that you have relating to the postponing of the registration assessment.

HEE are working closely with their partners and colleagues to review the impact of COVID-19 on the pharmacy workforce and keep HEE learners informed.

Following the recent General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) announcement (26 March) to postpone both the June and September 2020 pre-registration pharmacist examinations, HEE have published a joint statement with NHS Education for Scotland and Health Education and Improvement Wales. HEE statement outlines HEE support for the proposed approach and their continued engagement in exploring the processes needed to support current pre-registration pharmacists.

This statement is published on HEE’s Coronavirus (Covid-19) Information for trainees web page: https://www.hee.nhs.uk/coronavirus-information-trainees. Please access the direct link HERE or read the attached pdf HERE.

HEE recognise that at this point you will have concerns and questions. Your main point of contact for support and queries will be your regional Pre-registration Pharmacist Training Lead.

Please be aware that the full details of the amended registration process, are still being explored and developed by the GPhC. As such, HEE will not have all the answers at this time.

HEE also encourage you to use the Health Education England Pre-registration Pharmacy Questions Portal to anonymously submit any questions and concerns that you have.  HEE will use this portal to understand the concerns of their trainees and aim to publish a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) resource.

Up-to-date guidance and information from HEE, NHS England and NHS Improvement and the government are also available on HEE’s coronavirus (COVID-19) web page. This is to help health professionals, HEE staff and the public respond to coronavirus (COVID-19).
