Funded places available before March 2022: Independent Prescriber Training for Pharmacists

Following HEE’s letter on 15th December regarding the emerging NHS Pharmacy Integration Programme offers, they have now announced further details about an initial offer of funded Independent Prescribing courses for eligible pharmacists.  They have been working with universities who offer GPhC accredited IP and CEPIP courses, to provide an initial offer for courses that will be available before March 2022.

This opportunity will benefit pharmacists who are already in a position to apply and meet the eligibility criteria, and meets the requirement to progress this training as early as possible for community pharmacists and employers who have signalled they are ready to proceed.  For those pharmacists who are not in a position to apply for this offer, you are encouraged to prepare to apply for the main round of funded Independent Prescriber training that will be available from Autumn 2022.

Please see letter HERE regarding the available funded Independent Prescriber Training for Pharmacists that is being offered. The letter provides all the information on eligibility criteria, course providers and the application process.

Places are going to be filled on first come first served basis, so pharmacists need to act quickly and get their applications in asap.

These courses are not being organised by Dorset LPC you need to follow the application process on the above letter.
